THE British Heart Foundation calls on readers to support their new walk for Blackburn -- The West Blackburn Wander -- taking place on Sunday, September 29.
Starting at noon from Feniscowles, this four-mile circular walk will take you on a scenic stroll through the village of Pleasington, into Witton Park and along the Leeds-Liverpool canal bank. Along the way you will be provided with a fact sheet pointing out a number of sights of interest -- some of which, we are sure, will take you by surprise.
