As patron of a charity to support Lowton High School's bid for Sports College status, I am pleased to announce that the school is holding a fun day on Saturday 28 September.

Will Travis of Where The Heart Is Fame has agreed to officially launch the day at 11am helped by Sven (me!)

The school - based in Lowton, Leigh - has also organised a Sportsperson's dinner at Leigh Rugby Union Club, Hand Lane, Leigh, on 29 November. Tickets are priced at £20 for a FIVE COURSE meal and can be ordered through the school.

I will be giving my rendition of A Year in the Life (of a Sven lookalike) prior to its unexpurgated version in the News of the World and Hello magazine!

Don't worry, there will be other guests present!

No news on the Sky filming or LWT release yet and a special note to the taxman ... I am just about to send in my tax return!
