BURNLEY will travel to take on Huddersfield Town in the Worthington Cup second round in a couple of weeks time and manager Stan Ternent said: "It is probably as good a tie as we could have got."
With the Clarets seeded, due to last season's efforts in finishing seventh, there was no hope of the big tie he had talked about after the win over Blackpool but he explained: "The trip is just over the hill, there should be a good crowd and a match against Huddersfield is probably as big as it gets.
"I would prefer a home draw but so would everyone."
Saturday's draw saw the entry of all the Premiership clubs, bar those playing in Europe, and Ternent admitted he was sorry that his team will have to win another match to have the chance of a crack at one of the big guns.
"I feel that it is the first division clubs that have been hit hardest by the financial problems this summer but we knew before the draw that in our situation we could not get a Premiership club."
Huddersfield have made a slow start to the season under new manager Mick Wadsworth and are 17th in the second division having missed out in the play-offs last season.
Meanwhile the new date for Burnley's trip to Ipswich Town has been confirmed. They will now go to Portman Road on Tuesday, October 22.
