IT is interesting to observe the impact of the introduction of the euro in other EU countries.
In Greece, the cost of items such as snacks, soft drinks and fruit and vegetables has soared by 50 per cent.
In France, retail prices have risen by 10 per cent.
A similar rise has taken place in Germany, while in Holland, grocery prices have risen by a staggering 44 per cent in eight months.
The same would happen here if the euro was to be introduced. Thankfully, I believe the British people have more sense than to vote for it.
