HEATON Park is to be the venue for three free guided walks as part of a Red Rose Forest health festival.
The leisurely strolls will take place on Wednesday (Sept 18) at 1.15pm, Friday (Sept 20) at 10.30am and Sunday 22 September at 11am. Walkers should meet at the Farm Centre.
A chance to see the formal gardens of Philips Park Hall, Whitefield, will also take place on Saturday September 21, where people should meet in the park hall car park at 10am.
Fliss Paris, Red Rose Forest Community Support Officer, said: "People often jump into their cars and drive straight past these beautiful pockets of countryside which are on our doorstep. The Health Walks Festival is a fantastic opportunity to explore the local area with friends and family, at a more relaxed and healthy pace."
