A MAN was due to appear before Burnley Magistrates today charged in connection with an attack that left a man in hospital with a fractured skull.
The attack too place near the sports centre in Albert Road, Colne in the early hours of Monday morning.
The man was arrested at the scene and found to be carrying a small knife and a builders' hatchet.
He faces charges of wounding with intent.
Warren Manley, 24, was admitted to Burnley General Hospital where his condition is described as stable.
