BUSINESSWOMEN in East Lancashire are being urged to attend the launch of the area's first Women in Business group on Wednesday, October 2, at 8pm at Business Team Training, Greenfield Road, Colne.
Successful businesswomen Eileen Hirst and Wendy Bowers are backing the new group, which they hope will attract similar types from across the region.
Elaine Hurn, a partner with Taylors Solicitors, Blackburn, will be the guest speaker at the launch, where women can present their businesses and share their work experiences.
Award-winning business adviser Wendy Bowers added: "This is a great opportunity for women to attend an informative, sociable evening. The event is free with cheese and wine, and women are welcome to come with a friend."
Professional business trainer Eileen Hirst said: "Businesswomen are often in a minority so this new group will offer excellent opportunities to network and give mutual support.
