THE Hodder Valley agricultural show made a hugely successful comeback, a year after it was cancelled due to the outbreak of foot and mouth.
Organisers said the event at Tosside Road, Slaidburn, was a resounding triumph after hundreds turned up on a gloriously sunny day.
Visitors saw prize cattle, a sheepdog trial, craft classes, a magician-illusionist, dog-agility trials and vintage tractors. Bowland High School played a major part in the event with its own marquee, classes and special entertainment.
Show Secretary Neville Pearson said: "We were determined to bounce back from last year's cancellation."
