A FENCE pub has celebrated the onset of autumn with its new seasonal menu of food and wines.
The Ye Old Sparrowhawk, Wheatley Lane Road, introduced the new menu to replace the summer list.
The menu offers a number of new dishes of food more suited to the cooler weather at this time of year.
The food designed to keep you warm on the inside includes more hearty fare like farmhouse crumpets topped with cheese and a tomato and roasted onion chutney, beef and ale pie and hock of ham roasted in honey and mustard.
The pub has also serves up some classics like their Three Shires Sausages and Cheddar Mash, beer-battered fish and chips and grilled steaks. Angela Butler, landlady, said the new menu is something they try to bring out every season.
"The menu changes every season and this one for the autumn has quite a few new dishes to suit the seasonal weather."
She said they were also taking bookings for Christmas day, with a four-course meal costing £35 per head.
