THE new line-up of comedy acts for the next Saturday show at a Blackburn comedy club have been announced by the club's organisers.
The Lock 'N' Load Comedy Club, on the Wharf, Blackburn, has brought together a list of comedians it hopes will continue the success of the club.
The club has recently changed its comedy nights to a Saturday to meet demands from its growing number of customers.
They wanted an alternative to a normal Saturday night out in the pubs and clubs and so the aptly named Saturday Night Alternative was born.
Saturday September 21 sees the appearance of Silky, Karen Bayley, Rohan Adams, Bill Wooland and resident MC Martin Cassidy.
Headliner Silky is a veteran of Glastonbury 2000 and has topped the bill at comedy clubs the length and breadth of the country.
Martin Cassidy, resident compere said: "Silky is a true master at working a crowd, he's wick-witted, razor sharp and worth the entry fee on his own".
The club have also managed to secure up-and-coming act Karen Bayley for the main support spot. With Rohan Adams back by popular demand and Warrington's Bill Wooland opening the show organisers claim show aching sides are guaranteed. Laughs start around 8.30pm with a £5 door charge.
