A GENEROUS donation of £500 has helped fund the redecoration of Mencap House, in Waterfoot.
Allamo Line Dancing provided an unexpected cheque to the chair of Mencap, Ronnie Goggin, on Saturday night at their social evening.
Mencap looks after people with learning disabilities and physical disabilities.
Secretary of the organisation Joan Whitely, said: "We are over the moon after receiving this money.
"There are some very kind people around who are always wanting to help, which is delightful.
"We are going to put the money to good use and buy some essential materials to help re-decorate."
