HUNTING for a treasure will hot up in Darwen thanks to a charity auction and antique road show.
Belgrave Antique Centre in Bolton Road will host the event supporting the Magic Eye scanner appeal on November 14.
Valuations will be undertaken from 7pm onwards and a donation of £1 per three items will be required.
The Lancashire Evening Telegraph appeal hopes to raise £200,000 for an endoscopic ultrasound scanner which will benefit the whole of East Lancashire with the quicker diagnosis of stomach and oesophagus cancer.
The event will also support Derian House Children's Hospice, Pendlebury Children's Hospital and Alder Hey Children's Hospital.
Organiser Elaine Cooney said: "We have had a fantastic response so far and as this has never been done at the antiques centre before we are hoping it should be a very successful campaign."
The auction begins at 9pm and a hot supper will be served at 8.30pm. Tickets are £5 and are available by calling 01254 777714.
