POLICE took part in dawn raids at addresses in Blackburn again today as part of Operation Nimrod to crack down on drug dealers.
Homes throughout the town were targeted resulting in eight arrests and the seizure of a quantity of drugs thought to be Class A.
Twelve people arrested in similar raids yesterday have all been charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs. They were due to appear before Blackburn magistrates today.
The raids are part of the Safer Streets in Lancashire initiative and involved more than 150 officers from all six divisions in the county.
