ROVERS keeper Brad Friedel today told his Ewood team-mates to savour every minute of their UEFA Cup adventure.
Friedel has experienced European football before during stints with Liverpool and Galatasaray.
And he insists there is something special about European nights as Rovers prepare to return to UEFA Cup action for the first time in four years.
"I'm very excited about tonight's game because there is something special about playing in Europe," said Friedel.
"I know it's not quite the Champions League, but it's still a chance for you to test yourself against some of the best teams and players in Europe.
"And our younger players should be relishing the thought of that challenge.
"It's a good gauge as to how far you've come as a team.
"They are usually exciting nights because the atmosphere is fantastic and I really enjoyed my European experiences with Liverpool and Galatasaray.
"We've just got to try and win it in the first leg because it can be very, very difficult when you go away to play some of these sides."
