PENDLE Leisure Trust's prestigious 19th annual art event is now only weeks away. Pendle In Paint, the area's leading exhibition of local art and crafts, will showcase some excellent examples of amateur and semi-professional art.
Pendle Leisure Trust is hoping to encompass more forms of art this year and expand on the 170 entries from last year.
Discussions with local representatives, and questionnaires to exhibitors and customers, hav led to the introduction of free live workshops, running alongside the exhibition, where people will be able to learn more about art.
The exhibition will run from Thursday, October 10, to Sunday, October 13, at Colne Municipal Hall and visitors will be asked to vote for their favourite paintings.
If you are a budding artist and would like to submit a painting, Pendle Leisure Trust will be accepting pieces on Saturday, October 5, between 10am and 2pm at Colne Municipal Hall.
The exhibition is open Thursday, October 10, from 2pm - 7pm; Friday12pm - 7pm; Saturday10am - 6pm and Sunday 2pm - 5pm.
Organisers will be making a presentation to the winners. Admission is £1 per person and includes a complimentary cup of tea, coffee or soft drink.
