INJURY hit Morecambe were due to take on Northwich Victoria last night, with skipper Dave McKearney returning to the side.
Morecambe must also face up to the threat of a ban for Keith Hill after the experienced defender was sent off in Saturday's defeat at Telford.
With Jim Bentley still battling to recover from his pre-season injury, Morecambe must also contend with the loss of Garry Thompson, Dave Perkins, Ian Arnold and Jamie Murphy, as well as the ongoing fitness problems of Robbie Talbot.
Jim Harvey's side also face two important home games in the coming week.
On Saturday, they take on mid-table Woking, who have struggled in recent years.
On Tuesday, Telford come to town.
The Shropshire club had been one of the conference's big spenders for several years, but a new financial regime has seen several players leave, including Bentley, with manager Jake King struggling to fund replacements.
They are currently third from bottom, with jut two wins all season.
