TYLDESLEY Little Theatre's new season is set to kick off with a mixture of drama and comedy -- The Garden Party.
Written by Jimmie Chinn, Margaret Speakes directs an experienced cast which includes Winnie Beatty as secret tippler Aunt Hettie, chairman Jenny Orman as a much-married gossipy neighbour and Ian Taylor, now in his 15th year at the society, as an angry son with a guilty secret.
The story focuses on a not-so-happy 70th birthday party for Richard (Ken Berry) in which various members of the family reveal skeletons in their closets -- often against their wishes.
Drama, high emotions, old romances and comedy will ensue at The Garden Party, which runs from September 24-28. Tickets are available from 01204 655619 or 01942 886908.
