THE opening meeting of Leigh Local History Society's 2002/3 season will be held from 7.30pm on Wednesday, September 25 in the Derby Room at Leigh Library.
It will involve a slide show featuring Mines of the Lancashire Coalfield and the speaker will be Wigan archivist and former Lancashire Mining Museum curator, Alan Davies.
