LARGE quantities of killer drugs, including morphine and heroin, substitutes have been stolen from an Unsworth chemists.

Now police are warning the public to be on the look out for the dangerous liquid and tablet form drugs which could kill, even if taken in small amounts.

The drugs disappeared earlier this week after intruders disabled the alarm at the Medicare Chemist in Parr Lane, before entering the building and stealing the contents of the controlled drugs cabinet.

They escaped with large quanties pf physeptone, which is a methadone tablet, morphine sulphate tablets, morphone sulphate capsules, methadone mixture, temazepam tablets, diamorphine ampules, temgesic tablets, morphine sulphates solution, subutex, a heroin substitute, ritalin, oxycodone capsules and durogesic.

Detective Constable Chris Jameson from Whitefield CID warned: "I would urge anyone who sees any tablets or bottles of liquid which appear to have been abandoned to telephone the police immediately on 0161 856 8212 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
