A FATHER of two who got behind the wheel weeks after being banned has been told he may be facing jail.
Labourer Philip Richard Begley, 25, had been ordered off the road on August 7 for drink driving and was shocked to find he could go to prison, Burnley Magistrates heard.
Begley, of Inkerman Street, Bacup, admitted driving while disqualified and not having insurance and was bailed until October 9, for a pre-sentence report. He was told all options were open and custody could not be ruled out.
Graeme Rindall, defending, said Begley had pleaded guilty at the first opportunity. There was no criticism of his driving other than the fact he was banned.
