GREAT HARWOOD boss John Hughes knows his side now mean business after their crucial FA Cup win in midweek.

Harwood, who face Oldham Town tonight at the Showground, booked a second qualifying round tie at Harrogate Town after spot-kick glory over Crook Town.

"We played well and I couldn't play the likes of Richard Fogarty and Liam Denning because I didn't sign them in time," admitted the boss.

"But they can play at Harrogate so we will be stronger. They will be coming back tonight and I know I have a good nucleus of a squad here.

"I have heard people talking already about several of our youngsters - Ryan Parr, Chris Heslop, Glen Smith, Matt Derbyshire and Liam Denning are only young lads but they are going to get better.

"And Bobby Harris was superb in the penalty shoot-out. He saved two and was outstanding all night.

"People are beginning to recognise the potential at the club and we want the town to come and support us."

But Hughes wants his side to keep their minds on the main task in hand - winning the NWCL Division Two title - and that is why tonight's match, against a team dubbed the league's whipping boys, is so important.

"We have got to avoid getting complacent," said Hughes. "We might have won the Cup game but that's past now.

"The league is the priority and that is all that matters although the FA Cup run and the money made from it (£8,500) is a boost.

"We should win comfortably tonight but it depends what kind of attitude we go out with.

"These are the kinds of teams we have to beat."
