COLNE boss John Lister is just hoping he has a settled side soon after having to chop and change in recent weeks.

The NWCL Division Two side welcome Hall Road Rangers to Holt House tomorrow in the FA Vase and hope to bounce back after just one win in four games.

They lost to title-chasing Maine Road midweek but Lister was more furious about them throwing, for the second time this season, a 3-1 lead away in the dying minutes and coming away with just a point against Leek CSOB on Saturday.

"I'm not too disappointed about our defeat at Maine Road, they were by far the best team we have played and impressed me with their football but I was livid on Saturday after we threw away a 3-1 lead again. I couldn't believe it," admitted the Colne boss.

Lister is currently waiting on the fitness of some influential players who he knows will strengthen his side including Gareth West, Andy Lawson, Gavin Cooper and Chris Ingham.

"And I have also just signed two new players, David Bridge from Maine Road and Bernard Morley from Stand Athletic, adding them to the players missing and those currently doing okay and the team will be a really strong one," said Lister.

"We just need them all together which at the moment is easier said than done. I have been frustrated at not having the same side twice on the run yet, I can't get any consistency until the team becomes settled."

However he feels his side will be celebrating after Saturday.

"I feel we can win that one. I know a little bit about them and they have a good striker who is an ex pro but I think we are capable of beating them.

"It'll be nice to get away from league action and the FA Vase is a bit special for non-League sides.

"We were beaten by last year's winners Whitley Bay at the first hurdle last year 1-0, so it's all about how you perform on the day."
