GROUPS and organisations working to benefit children aged from five to 13 can now apply for funding for projects.
The third phase of the Lancashire Children's Fund has £600,000 for groups in the four Neighbourhood Renewal Fund wards of Barnfield, Church, Central and Springhill.
Funds are also available for groups in other wards targeting children with disabilities, young carers, and ethnic minorities.
The aim of the funding is to ensure children who have experienced early signs of difficulties receive services to help them get the most from education, health, and social care.
The first stage of the application process is to fill in a form to express an interest and suggest projects.
Members of the Hyndburn Locality Group will then invite full applications from groups whose projects best meet the needs of the area.
A free advice and information workshop will be held for anyone considering applying for a grant from 6pm to 9pm on Monday, September 30 at the Globe Centre, St James Square, Accrington.
