TWO men from Lancashire's Police force will appear in court today on serious charges relating to children.
A serving police officer with Lancashire Constabulary was due to appear before Chorley magistrates today charged with five counts of making indecent photographs or pseudo photographs of children.
PC Paul Thompson, 43, of Preston, was arrested on Friday.
A police spokesperson said: "We can confirm he is a serving police constable based in Lancashire Constabulary's Central division.
"He is suspended from duty until further notice."
In a separate case, 55 year old Peter Sharples has been charged with unlawfully detaining a child and is due before Blackburn magistrates.
He's a member of the constabulary support staff at Pennine Division.
