CONGRATULATIONS to Blackburn on making worthy front-page national news.
For once, it was not the usual bad press regarding disjointed and delayed ring roads, metal trees, staff suspensions or crackpot multi-million pound pedestrianised car parks.
No, this time, it was good news and I would like to be the first congratulate Tony on winning I'm A Celebrity. Get Me Out Of Here!:
This did give me an idea though. Perhaps ITV might like to consider a 'fly on the wall' programme of Blackburn with Darwen Council's Executive Committee with nightly live broadcasts from the ivory tower in cloud-cuckoo-land where they reside.
Local residents would then get the chance to vote out their least-liked executive member from the comfort of their armchairs, or, alternatively, via text message, should they happen to be stuck in a needless traffic jam on Darwen Street.
