COLNE were almost single-handedly dumped out of the FA Vase by former pro Jamie Barnwell of Hall Road Rangers.
Barnwell, who used to play for Cambridge United and Coventry City, scored all three of the Hull side's goals to send them through to the next round.
Barnwell bagged his first inside ten minutes, beating Ross Baxter in a one-on-one situation, and scored his and Hall Road's second as early as the twelfth minute.
"When you go two down in the first 15 minutes it's always going to be difficult to get back into the game," said Colne player-manager John Lister.
"Having said that it was a pretty even contest, but the lad Barnwell posed a massive threat for them and was the difference between the two sides."
Colne certainly had their fair share of the play however Craddock failed to convert with only the keeper to beat and the referee waved away Jonathan Irvine's claims for what looked like a certain penalty.
Despite Colne's pressure, Hall Road's defence stood firm until George Craddock volleyed home on 87 minutes. However it was nothing more than a consolation goal as Barnwell had completed his hat-trick from a corner seven
minutes earlier to give his side an insurmountable advantage.
