ALL my life from 1917, I have shared with my contemporaries nothing but war propaganda, slumps, hardship and the burden of economising to pay the interest upon war debts going back to Napoleon's era.
Military power has destroyed past empires, Germany and Russia, and today I see the threat of another generation in my lifetime being killed.
I hope and pray that the remarks of the Bishop of Burnley have made some effect upon people's minds for sanity.
The rulers of the secular world don't object to us all going to worship the Prince of Peace -- but it is politically unacceptable to take His message literally and live by it.
