AS the curtain fell on a theatre workshop in Colne the budding child actors put on a show stopping performance.

The two-week long activity playscheme was held at the Municipal Hall theatre in Albert Road. Organised by a new Pendle Leisure Trust initiative, children who had taken part put on a series of sketches and songs created by them. Children, parents and members of the public were invited to the show last week.

A spokesman for the Trust said: "They were fantastic.

"And the quality of the work they produced was excellent.

"I'm sure there are a couple of really talented kids that could go on to do it professionally."
