GREAT HARWOOD fought back from 2-0 down to beat local rivals Colne 4-2 at the Showground last night.
Colne manager John Lister will be furious that his side conceded three in the last 10 minutes to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
It all started well enough for the visitors when George Craddock bagged his eighth goal in seven games to put Colne 1-0 up.
And just 20 minutes later, Harwood were two down thanks to a Jon Irvine strike.
Colne held out until past the hour mark before they conceded the first Great Harwood goal from Chris Heslop.
Richard Fogarty, who has just returned to the club from Clitheroe, scored two in two minutes on 80 and 82 to put Harwood ahead and Chris Denning wrapped it up for the home side two minutes from time.
Colne have now conceded 13 goals in their last four games and the result pushes Great Harwood up to fourth in NWCL Division Two.
Harwood manager John Hughes said: "We couldn't cope with their three up front in the first half so I put Neil Baron on at centre half and we started to play.
"Full credit to the lads, they are only a young team and it showed great character to come back like that."
Great Harwood Town 4 Colne 2

Fogarty 80, 82 Irvine 35
