AMBITIOUS Air Engineering Artificer Ross Harrison of Blackburn has already distinguished himself in his Royal Navy career.
He was awarded an end of term prize for gaining the highest overall points in the compulsory fitness tests throughout the 10-week course.
Ross, 18, completed his basic training at HMS Raleigh, the Navy's new entry training establishment in Torpoint, Cornwall.
He attended Walton le Dale High School and worked as a fitness instructor prior to joining the Royal Navy.
He has now moved on to HMS Sultan in Gosport, Hampshire, to complete his specialist training.
