CULCHETH Players present My Cousin Rachel from Wednesday, October 9.
Adapted from Daphne DuMaurier's book, the enthralling drama set in 1850 tells the story of Philip Ashley (Andrew Barton) who discovers that his cousin Ambrose has died suddenly in Italy. Rachel (Fiona Barton) -- Ambrose's wife -- has disappeared from their home, which leads Philip to believe she is responsible for Ambrose's death and is hoping to inherit his possessions.
But, when Rachel suddenly arrives in Cornwall Philip becomes besotted with her, creating a plot full of twists and turns.
