LEIGH RU U9s and U10s played at home to Ormskirk with the U12s away at Bury.
The U10s began strongly against a nervous Ormskirk side and after a short time Leigh began to pile on the points. In total they finished with nine tries to nil.
The U12s match ran in a similar vein to that of the under 10s. Bury were no real competition as Leigh ran out 101-0 winners.
The try scorers were: Niall Buckingham, Andrew Newton & Jonathan Grimshaw (1); Daniel Tustin (2); Gareth Davies & David Taylor (3) and Kieron Grundy (4). Conversions were kicked by Gareth Davies, Andrew Newton, Kieron Grundy (3), Joe Harrison (3) and David Taylor (5).
The U9s drew 15-15 with Ormskirk after leading 10-0 at half time. Ormskirk drew level and then went in front before Richard Thorpe equalised with a try at the corner. Leigh's other tries came from James Wilkinson (2). Man of the match was Conor Parr and top tackler Marcus Williams.
