STAFF at a company which prints 35 million envelopes a week have got health and safety licked.
Some 50 employees at Chapman Envelopes, of Eccleshill, Darwen, completed a course by Northern EHS, a division of Northern Technology.
The workers studied at home and work for the CIEH basic health and safety certificate, which covered first aid, risk assessments, accident prevention, protective equipment, hazards, noise and manual handling.
Bryan Mizon, management systems officer at Chapman Envelopes, which employs 140 staff, said: "It was really user-friendly. Northern EHS have been very helpful and the whole thing has run smoothly.
"Above all, the staff enjoyed it - it has really opened their eyes and increased safety awareness."
