VOTING is in progress today (Thursday) for the Wigan Council vacancy in Leigh central Ward.
The candidates are Conservative Tim Matthews, Community Action's Peter Solina and Labour's Myra Whiteside.
Tim Matthews, aged 26, lives in Leigh and works in the transport industry. He plays in a local rock band.
Peter Solinas, from Golborne, is a graduate and works in the IT industry and is a founder member of the Community Action party.
Myra Whiteside is a Post Office worker. She lives in Leigh.
