RETIRED school teachers Harry and Nancy Morris celebrated their diamond wedding in style.
Harry, aged 83 and Nancy, 82, lived in Leigh Road, Beech Walk and Pennington Mews during their 40 years in Leigh, before moving to Southport four years ago.
Harry was headteacher at Leigh CE High School in Atherleigh for 21 years until his retirement.
Nancy taught at Pennington CE Junior School and becoming head of infants at Higher Folds.
The couple, who met at Durham University in 1938, celebrated their 60th anniversary with their daughter and grandson in France, before jetting home for a party with friends.
