A SUMMER of inconvenience ended with the reopening of town centre toilets in Tyldesley.
And now community watchdogs who pulled the plug on the dilapidated Market Square toilets back in March want people to help keep graffiti vandals and undesirables at bay.
Yesterday (Wednesday) they reopened after members of the Atherton and Hindsford Community Twin Ward Risk Management Group secured a grant to make big improvements to the smallest room.
Joint chairmen Sue Loudon and Mark Aldred said: "In small towns all services are important. If we wish people to continue using our town centre we need to provide services that are literally convenient for them.
"We now need the help of local people to ensure these toilets stay open by reporting any anti-social behaviour."
