DO not be alarmed if you spot 600 squaddies in the stands during one of Shakers' coming fixtures.
The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers have joined forces with the Forever Bury supporters trust to help forge better links between themselves and the club.
The two organisations go back as far as when the club was formed back in 1885, with the first Shakers chairman, John Hall, a member of the Fusiliers himself who went on to become a colonel during the first world war.
Now the Fusiliers will be helping raise cash and awareness for Bury FC, starting by promoting the sale of Forever Bury Beer as well as turning out in force as paying customers for one of Bury's home fixtures in November.
Forever Bury's Dave Giffard is pictured with Bury boss Andy Preece and players Steve Redmond and Jon Newby, presenting the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers with a signed Shakers shirt.
