AN early morning ram raid on a Bury petrol station which caused £2,000 worth of damage was captured by a CCTV camera.
Now police are hunting for the robber who drove a stolen car at speed into the shop front at the Save Service Station in Rochdale Old Road.
The man got out of the Vauxhall Corsa and stole property from the unoccupied shop, which was extensively damaged.
The incident happened at 1.15am on Thursday (Sept 26). Police have viewed CCTV footage and say the robber is about 20, white, slim, with brown hair and a fringe. He wore blue track suit bottoms with white flashes, a blue striped jumper and trainers.
Although the vehicle was damaged, it was driven off minutes after the raid. The car, registration M311 BLG, had been stolen from Bury only hours before the raid.
Anyone with information is asked to ring Bury CID on 856 8150.
