IF GREENPEACE, Friends of the Earth and a motley ragbag of Irish politicians and misguided greens really cared about the environment, they would not be cluttering up the Irish Sea and trying to prevent BNFL from carrying on their legitimate business.
I was at Sellafield this weekend to show my support for the fine company, which is so important to the North West of England in terms of the jobs that it provides for my constituents, the money it earns from abroad and the vital contribution that it makes to meeting our environment targets.
If I had my way, I would be building more nuclear power stations - just as they are in Finland - thereby using less fossil fuel and reducing carbon emissions.
Why doesn't the so-called rainbow coalition listen to facts and common sense?
