EIGHT men involved in trouble when taxis were attacked in Burnley after the England v Sweden World Cup match are awaiting sentence.
They were among 11 who appeared together at Burnley Crown Court all accused of violent disorder on June 2.
All were bailed unconditionally until November 22, for pre-sentence reports. The hearing, which will feature video footage of the part played by each defendant, is expected to last a full day.
Those who pleaded guilty to the charge were Paul Midgley, 20, of Redvers Street, Sean Disley, 38, of Gannow Lane, Michael Atkinson, 40, of Hollingreave Road, Ian Spencer, 31, of Wren Street, Sam Trickett, 18, of Cumberland Avenue, Andrew Emmett, 29, of Reed Street and David Parkinson, 20, of Brownhill Avenue, all Burnley.
An eighth man Kieron McCallion has earlier admitted his part in the violence and has been committed for sentence by the Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale Magistrates.
Three more Burnley defendants William Wilkinson, 40, of St Matthew Street, Russell Moorhouse, 34, of Ridge Avenue and Timothy Christian, 39, of Cumberland Avenue, all pleaded not guilty to violent disorder and their cases were adjourned.
