NEVER mind the farcical end to last weekend's game, Clarets assistant boss Sam Ellis is determined to accentuate the positive ahead of Wimbledon's visit to Turf Moor.
"We have gone six games unbeaten and we are quite happy with that," he admitted.
"The match with Wimbledon gives us another chance to win three points and that is what we go for in every game."
And with Steve Davis pushing for a place in the starting line-up he stressed that he has absolute faith in him putting last week's error behind him.
"Steve is big enough to get over that," he said with manager Stan Ternent having to decide whether to start with the skipper or stick with the partnership of Ian Cox and Arthur Gnohere.
"He is now back and he gives the gaffer more options at the back."
The Clarets charge up the table has stuttered in the last couple of games with the 2-2 draws against Millwall and Bradford and they will star tomorrow's match just one place above the drop zone.
But Ellis insisted: "The lads should be full of confidence and I would hope they always go out thinking they will not lose a game."
The biggest problem in the opening weeks of the season has been a lack of goals and despite the fact the first five games of this month have brought a return of 11 goals Ellis said: "Goals have been more difficult to come by and at this stage last season we were scoring a few more than we were leaking.
"But that will turn around and the manager does have an abundance of riches up front. We think that Robbie Blake will come on for having got his first goal in open play but he has played very well anyway whenever he has been asked to."
With Lennie Johnrose having left the club one midfield option is closed to Ternent and Ellis admitted that Paul Weller remains a major doubt.
But Dean West should be fit to start at right back despite the knock he picked up at Bradford last week restricting his training this week.
