THE Milltown Brothers have recruited a top-name producer to work on their new album.
The five-piece band from Colne -- who reformed with their original line-up earlier this year -- are set to record their new material with Glenn Skinner.
Most recently known for his work with Pop Idol finalist Darius on his smash hit single Colourblind, Skinner will re-locate his studio to Colne as the band work on their third album.
Lead singer Matthew Nelson said: "It's happy days at the moment. We really felt we needed a producer to work with. For a while it looked like we might have had to do it ourselves but now things are finally coming together."
He added: "Everything seems to happen slowly with us but the songs are good and it would have foolish not to do things right."
Starting work next month, the drums, keyboards and bass will all be recorded in Colne, with the group then finishing the album in London.
Scheduled to finish before Christmas, the lads are also planning to release another collection of songs.
Despite a number of logistical problems, the songs which have been recorded since they left major record company A&M should soon be available.
