LIBRARIAN Ann Hardman does not know if she suffers from vertigo.
But she will certainly find out next month when she abseils 120ft down Manchester City's Kippax stand!
Ann (37) who works at Radcliffe Library decided to sign up for the sponsored abseil in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care when she spotted a poster at the library. She is pictured with gear and helmet ready for her daredevil challenge.
"I thought there and then that I'd give it a go," she said. "My grandfather had cancer and it's something that I think touches most families so I thought it was a worthwhile cause."
Apart from raising money for the charity, the leap will give Ann, of Queen Street, Radcliffe, the opportunity to take part in a historic occasion as it will be the last abseil at the 80-year-old Maine Road stadium.
Stephen Tongue, of Marie Curie, said: "The final game at Maine Road takes place at the end of the season so this is a unique and once in a lifetime opportunity to view Manchester as you've never seen it before!"
The abseil takes place on October 26 and 27 and if you would like to follow Ann's example call 255 2805 for details.
