BACUP get a rare chance to play a league game tomorrow when they travel to Maine Road.
Brent Peters' side cannot play at their West View home until the end of the year which has restricted the number of NWCL Division Two games they can play.
They have played just four league games this season and are already playing catch-up on the sides above them. Some teams have played more than 10 games.
"We want to be challenging this season, I want one of the two promotion places," said Peters.
"So I need a big squad. Lee Anderson has told me verbally that he will sign so he comes straight into the squad for the game at Maine Road.
"I went to watch them on Monday against Cheadle and they are a good, young, honest side.
"They play good football, are full of running, full of confidence and it will be a tough game.
"We have to get back on track after losing 4-0 against Cammell Laird in the FA Vase on Sunday, when we didn't play at all."
Peters has put seven days on Stand's top scorer Paul Thompson, who has scored seven goals this season. He can speak to the player at the end of next week.
"I don't know if he will sign but if he does it will keep people on their toes.
"We are a good side, even though we didn't show it last weekend when people who came to watch must have wondered why they've been hearing such good things about us."
Peters is ready to make changes for tomorrow's game.
"I haven't been happy with the service we have been giving our forwards," he said. "So I am looking to change things in midfield."
