AN East Lancashire school celebrated its elevation to arts college status at a special ceremony.
Our Lady and St John RC High School, based in North Road, Blackburn, was awarded the accolade by the Government earlier this year.
It means it will receive extra funding to boost its arts subject teaching and resources. The school is also one of 22 in the Education Action Zone programme in Blackburn and Darwen.
It was included as a high-achieving school so that its good practice could be shared.
