GLEN Little's first goal of the season was enough for all three points in a hard fought match with the Dons.
Little converted Lee Briscoe's low cross early in the second half having missed a number of good chances before the break.
There were nervy moments late on and Damien Francis missed a good chance but Burnley extended their unbeaten run to seven.
In the first half Kelvin Davis was the busier of the two keepers but Burnley failed to convert a number of good chances as the half ended goalless.
Glen Little, Robbie Blake and Lee Briscoe were all denied by the Dons stopper but the visitors did look lively on the break.
Stan Ternent recalled skipper Steve Davis for the visit of the Dons and also gave striker Robbie Blake and winger Alan Moore a start.
Paul Cook, Mark McGregor and Dimitri Papadopoulos were the men dropped to the bench that was missing keeper Nik Michopoulos, loaned out to Crystal Palace this morning.
