PEOPLE in Rossendale are set to get their hiking boots on tomorrow for an eight-mile Generation Walk.
Money raised from the walk will be split between the Haslingden-based Stepping Stones charity and the local MENCAP bus appeal.
The event has been organised by Rising Bridge marketing company Healden Grove Ltd, and the Craven Heifer pub, Constable Lee.
It will start from the Craven Heifer on Burnley Road at 10am. Walkers aged from seven to 70 will hike through Crawshawbooth, Cloughbridge and then go once around the reservoir before finishing at the Craven Heifer.
Pie and peas will be available to help recharge the batteries followed by quizzes and a family karaoke.
Everyone is welcome to participate in the walk or just enjoy the many activities on offer in the pub.
Fancy dress is encouraged, though it is optional.
