A ROSSENDALE travel agent is set to make her small screen debut after being picked for a holiday show.
Janet Frankland, 38, was one of a group of UK travel agents, filmed for the BBC programme Passport To The Sun.
Last month Janet, who works at Lunn Poly in Bank Street, Rawtenstall, travelled with 15 other travel agents to the holiday island of Majorca.
They were filmed for two days by the BBC while they travelled around the island, viewing hotels and resorts.
Janet said: "The trip was fantastic. I was delighted to be asked to take part and found it really interesting to see how the programme was put together.
"I can't wait to see it. The highlight of the trip was meeting the show's presenter Nadia Sawalha, but I also enjoyed the challenges we were asked to do."
Passport To The Sun is scheduled to be screened next year. It is one of a number of similar programmes, featured by the different TV companies, which are intended to be entertaining as well as informative. It regularly draws an audience of around 1.5 million viewers.
