BLACKBURN midfielder David Thompson is currently the man of the moment as far as Rovers fans are concerned.
And manager Graeme Souness will once again look to the former Coventry man for inspiration at the Hawthorns tonight, particularly if Damien Duff is not deemed fit enough to be included from the start.
Thompson has looked one of the bargains of the season since he joined Rovers in a £1.5 million deal a month ago, prompting Souness to champion his England prospects.
He certainly made an impression in front of Sven Goran Eriksson with a man of the match performance in Rovers' 1-0 win over Leeds last weekend.
At home in any position across midfield, his work-rate and all-round vision have added a whole new dimension to the team going forward.
If Damien Duff does return on the left, then Thompson will probably start on the right flank where he could find himself in direct opposition to Neil Clement.
The West Brom full-back is certainly no stranger to Rovers fans after Souness spent the best part of a season pursuing him.
But in the end, Albion boss Gary Megson won his battle to keep him.
