PRESTWICH Heys are just 90 minutes from the Reebok Stadium after a 3-0 win over Tempest United in the Goldline Trophy semis.
Heys were always in command of the game and took a deserved eighth minute lead when Danny Norton took advantage of a goalkeeping misjudgement to knock the ball home.
Prestwich continued to play some good, flowing football and it paid dividends for them when they were awarded a penalty for handball six minutes before the break.
Abid Uddin slammed home the spot-kick on that occasion and netted from twelve yards late on to cap off a superb individual performance.
Prestwich became the third side to make the last four following Atherton LR and Charnock Richard. Ashton Town and Atherton Colls play off for the final spot next Wednesday.
